Strawberry World Excursions: What you can expect

There are many people offering Madeira Island Excursions. We believe Strawberry World (Lido Tours) offer the best, so just what makes us different from the rest?
Firstly, we are an authorised operator with our own buses; we are NOT just a ticket seller contracting our tours to the lowest bidder like so many so-called tour companies. When you travel on a Strawberry World coach, the Driver and Guide are professionals employed by us, so you can be sure that they will give you the best service possible. Our staff are dedicated to our ethos of service; those that fall short do not work for us for long.
Then there are our vehicles. We operate new, luxury Mercedes coaches with leather seats, climate control and the most legroom on the Island. A knowledgeable tour guide provides a running commentary on the points of interest, of which there are many. Our trips are sometimes full but never crowded or noisy, indeed we are complimented frequently on the clarity of the guide’s commentary, the wonderful views (yes, we clean the windows too) and the sumptuous comfort of our coaches.
The routes are very similar between the various companies, the east and west tours being quite long. So for your comfort, we use luxury coaches in preference to mini-buses.
Stops for coffee and lunch are always in places that offer a choice. From experience, our guide may recommend one restaurant or another but there is absolutely no obligation, our customers are free to eat and drink in a place of their choice. This is company policy and we do not deviate from it.
We have no affiliation with time-share – our tours are solely what they claim to be: We are happy our tours are the best excursions in Madeira, without a doubt.
And if that’s not enough, finally there is the price, currently only €22 for each of the main tours. How do we do it? Simply, we don’t rip people off! We have no ticket sellers and we do not pay commission to middle-men. We make these savings and pass them on. Of course, that has upset some companies that either cannot compete or are forced to do so and up their game, who have resorted to extreme measures to discredit Strawberry World or disrupt operations; it’s not difficult to find fake reviews in places like TripAdvisor, but most of them are so contrived, so transparently from the opposition that it has done Strawberry World nothing but good!
At Strawberry World we pride ourselves on our service and commitment to our customers, ensuring that time and again word gets around; we operate on reputation and referrals. Daily we are complimented on our excursions, sometimes so effusively that we blush, well, a little.

My wife and I have a time share apartment in Madeira and for the past two years have taken one of your coach excursions to the East side of the island. I would just like to say what pleasurable days out these were, along with such a pleasant and professional courier called Anna, the extremely experienced and careful driver plus the added comfort of a modern coach. Next year we intend to take a trip to the West side and sincerely hope that we have the opportunity to travel with these two excellent employees of yours once again.

As explicações detalhadas dos mais variados pormenores àcerca da ilha da Madeira, a cargo da guia Ana (nas excursões a Norte e a Sul) e do Nuno Miguel (Curral das Feiras) foram excelentes. O conforto dos meios de transporte, bem como a condução cuidadosa do Marco e do Nuno Miguel (guia) são, também, de referir. Gostámos muito dos locais visitados e da simpatia do pessoal da Strawberry World. Quando voltarmos à Madeira, certamente voltarei a viajar convosco noutros percursos.
Having returned home just recently from our first visit to Madeira aznd having had the very enjoyable experience of tours with Strawberry World – North/West and South/East + tne maderian Night, My wife and I cannot express the pleasure that this gave us , having friendly caring guides – Anna was a treat to have with us and we would certainly do tours again with your company.
